I got the chance to do this portrait of Wyclef Jean for the Book Review this weekend. I have been tinkering with a slight modification of my typically %100 digital process. For this, I drew the line-work with a brush and ink, then finished the coloring in photoshop, dropping out some of the lines as I went. It has been interesting to bring some of these studio experiments into the time sensitive world of the quick turnaround deadline. The process is still unfamiliar enough to keep me on my toes up to the last minute. Thanks to Timothy Goodman for the assignment!
