I had the chance to work with a story close to my heart for today's NY Times letters section. Plans for a renovation of the 42nd Street Library have been announced, and as one might expect, the response has been mixed. ('Improvements' would include moving a large number of the books to New Jersey, and possibly building a cafe.) This illustration accompanies a set of reader's letters that make arguments for and against the plan. You can read them here. A big thanks to AD Alexandra Zsigmond for the assignment and for giving me the chance to publish my first pen and ink illustration!
